Welcome, everyone to the 2018 Young Neighbors In Action (YNIA) Blog! This year we will be serving at three work sites, across the Green Bay, WI community.
So what is YNIA? In short, YNIA is a nationwide program focusing on "helping youth encounter Christ through a week-long Catholic experience of service, community, and prayer." For a week, St Patricks Youth will serve the community of Green Bay at three different work sites. Some youth will be painting homes, others helping at community centers, and some will be directly serving in soup kitchens.
Let me start by saying THANK YOU! St Patricks has taken part in YNIA for almost two decades. From Yakima, Washington to Washington D.C, YNIA has played and continues to play a huge role in the St. Patrick parish community allowing youth in the parish to serve and experience communities outside of Massachusetts. Thank you to everyone who has donated, contributed, and prayed for us!
Now about the blog! Every night, after dinner and prayer, our young adults will be posting about what they experienced at their worksites. We will also be sharing pictures, when possible, from our worksites. Please feel free to share, like, and comment on our blog!
Interested in learning more about our work sites? You can find House of Hope, Community Shelter, and St. Vincent De Paul websites can be found in the navigation bar, above.
